Ceiling Rose Wiring.

I need to replace a ceiling rose. There and 3 red and 3 black wires which I had intended to wire as shown below.


One thing though, the existing rose is wired differently. The single black wire (switch) is connected to the blue wire of the pendant and the 2 other black wires are connected to the brown wire of the pendant.

Should I wire as per the diagram? Is the existing wiring wrong? How come the existing wiring works?

It should work either way, but best practise is as diagram!

Probably pendant replaced at some time and fitted a**e backwards.
