I am going to plumb in my towel heater. I'm using 15mm chrome plated copper pipe, and will need a 90 degree bend in each pipe.

I've never used plated pipe before. Will it bend OK in my Hilmor bender, or will the chrome be damaged and flake off?

In theory, no, but I have done it without cracking the chrome.

Not a plumber, but can you please show me how? used to be a "chromer", are we talking minute bends or 90 degree bends?.

Not possible with the 1970s chroming.

I machine bend chrome plated copper tube all the time, you do get a dulling of the chrome where its been pulled though.

Can you not use angled rad valves to overcome this bending?

Joists in the way??

yes you can bend this, just keep the plastic wrapping on the pipe until AFTER you have made the bends. Also get the pipe from BnQ, i was advised to buy theirs as its less likely to crack when bending.

Maybe theirs is polished stainless steel ;)
