can anyone help? i need to change a light fitting in the boys bedroom and have to turn the electricity off to do so. but every time i do the burglar alarm goes off.

This may be a feature designed to alert you, should a burglar try to disable the alarm by disconnecting its main power supply ? |

yes, i believe it is. I was wodnering if there was of disarming it so i can for the light. I'll check the manual. Thanks guys |

Sounds like the panel battery needs replacing.

by the sounds of it you will need to replace the internal control panel battery.
what type (name photo would help) is your panel,
i can then let you know what battery you will need and how to change it

The internal battery needs changing, should be changed every 5 years.
Has someone mention this before???
