Stove Rangemaster 1100 - Oven Door

Hi

I have difficulty closing the above fan oven door.

Also once closed it fails to remain closed once cooking.

We have replaced the door twice but after a while the problem persists.

Any ideas would be great

I will assume this is a pull down type door and that when you shut it it stays open about an inch or so at the top.

If so it sounds like the door roller brackets inside the chassis are worn, where the bottom part of the door hinges latch over the chassis (the little notch part) you get wear. You can do a simple check by folding some tinfoil and carefully putting it over the part where the door hinge goes on and seeing if the door shuts now. (I tend to cut a tin can up or use a piece of stainless steel and make a U shaped piece to fit over as a temp measure)
