Few problems with boiler 9 years old. Hot water doesn't always work. The pin doesn't always come out far enough. Also when i put the heating on it works for a short time then seems to over pressure itself and shuts off. Boiler shuts off until pressure goes down and i press the thermostat reset button underneath. Any ideas please?

sounds like the diaphragm needs replacing, as for the pressure rising that sounds like your expansion vessel either needs recharging or replacing, if you look outside you will probably see water dripping from the pressure relief pipe, if that is the case you will also need to have the pressure relief valve replaced
