Aqualisa 900 Concealed PBV control Knob Removal

I am trying unsuccessfully to remove the control knob on an Aqualisa 900 Concealed PBV . I phoned Aqualisa and they said it should be pulled off.
I have tugged and pulled but it wont budge.
Another site said in response to the same problem, that there are screws under the plasic logo insert. They advise to push on one end of the plastic insert to pop it out. This doesn't work either.
I am typing this with sore wrists as a result of these failed attempts.

Any advice on how to get the control knob off?

yes they just pull off no screws they can be a bugger.

some just pull off or i've used kettle of hot water over it to expand the plastic, or some are just a total bugger.

Thanks for that. I modified your suggestion slightly and used a hair dryer, which worked. Hooray!!

However, I have taken out the central brass screw but can't get the chrome backplate and white plastic shroud off.

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Used a plastic spatula to get behind the chrome plate and cut through the sealant. All off now.
