Adding a Spur to existing Ring

I need to add extra sockets to an existing ring. I know I need to use a JB. My question is where should the JB be placed; anywhere that is closest to my new sockets? If so, do I just run new cable to the new sockets in daisy chain way or I need to create a ring (dont make sure if this is the case). Any fuse requirement on the JB or any limit on the number of addition sockets off the spur?

You can only make a spur up of one socket, either a single or double( it should not lead onto any other sockets).

If you spur from ring to a fused connection unit(fcu 13amp) this can then lead on to however many sockets you want, but remember every socket after the fcu will be protected by the 13 amp fuse so overloading these sockets will cause the fuse to blow.

Any junction box should be accessible after fitting (problem if it's under a laminate floor), is it not possible to join directly into the terminals of a socket on the ring.
