hi again

im fitting a solid fuel back boiler that will serve an indirect cylinder.
the BB and cylinder will be loacted at ground and first floor respectively.
the horizontal separation distance will be c.8 metres and facilitates a generous grade for pipe run.
the BB will be fitted with to an open fireplace with a 16'' grate
what line size would you recommend for the gravity circuit?

thanks for your comments

location location ,the op is in Ireland so you have imp inch and irish inch plus 28mm just to confuse the issue can be a right pita to match up

yes, 27.4mm to be precise, half hard yorkex tubing. I believe Irish tube sizes are unique for some starange reason.
thankfully, imperial fittings have been discontinued here since the 90's.
thanks for the replies

what `s that bread got to do with it  Don`t they eat soda bread over there- cooked on the fire the poor bugger is trying to connect up. Irish inch indeed  I think you`re talking like a punt on the poteen

just another query concerning the pipework arrangement for a permanent heat sink on solid fuel appliances.

if a back boiler and stove (both solid fuel) are fitted back to back in two separate rooms, is it feasible to use a common gravity circuit to serve an indirect cylinder situated immediately above at first floor level?

your thoughts on the piping would be appreciated

regards
