We have a Baxi Potterton boiler model Suprima 40L.
We had problems a few years ago and these were resolved
when a new PCB was fitted, but now it's being temperamental again.

Unfortunately the pilot light regularly goes out, but whether or not it
can be reignited by pressing the manual reset button depends on the
time of day.

In the morning the boiler will always come on but at some point during
its on cycle (or just when the cycle ends) the pilot light will go out
and there will be a flashing red LED signal and will require manual
reset to reignite.

In the evening cycle, it may do the same thing - or it may not switch on
at all initially and a warning amber LED signal will flash, meaning that
the pilot light is trying to reignite without success. In this case
sometimes it may eventually reignite.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks for your help.

You need a good rgi who can diagnose faults. This is most likely an issue requiring entrance to the combustion bxx and as such needs a qualified rgi.

Sorry can't help any further
