I am trying to connect a new ceiling light. I have two cables coming out of ceiling, one from the light switch one from the mains, the ceiling light has only 2(two) connections points. How do I wire them up, my wires are both red and black?

easy
1 connect red of feed to red of switch wire together in a connector block
2 black of feed cable goes to neutral or blue connector in light fitting
3 put some red tape around black of switch wire ( it becomes live when switch is on ) connect to live or brown terminal of light fitting
job done
