New slate roof how much should it cost

Hi I live in a bottom flat but share cost of repairs with upstairs flat. The roof has been leaking have had it repaired couple times .the nails are what they call nail sick.the cost I have been told is £7,850 If they use the old slates.it's a two bed flat end terrace.the two flats sold as leasehold I think I have legal obligation to pay but have no funds. The price is very scary lot more than I thought it would be. Any advice ? Thanks

Get more quotes - our opinion without seeing it is a waste of time.

sounds a bit expensive if reusing exising slate and making up.. but obviously will depend on scaffold costs complexity etc etc.. shop around
