Can you guide me on the transfer of wiring from the switch master to the tempus?

Sorry to mess you around it's a switchmaster sm600 not a 400.

should be case of transfering the cables to the corresponding terminals, live, neutral, CPC, CH on and HW on.

my tempus switch has a setting switch on the back, for gravity or pumped systems. Also combined of seperate settings.
How do i check which one is for my system?

why are you changing it to such an old programmer instead of a later model ?

answer to the first question is yes.

I bought the 'new' switch on ebay, anything is new compared to the current switchmaster unit i have!

So, if the answer to that first question is definitely 'yes', you have a fully pumped system (I somehow doubt this). Therefore, your programmer should be selected for the 16 program setting and not the 10 program gravity HW setting.
