Hello.
We are putting in a new kitchen and have saved up for a hob.
we are planning on getting this : http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/belling-crs60-built-in-ceramic-hob-03957261-pdt.html

The only outlet we have near buy is a socket and cooker switch. The oven is running off the cooker switch, can I plug the hob the socket next to it?

Splitting the cable to the oven has been suggested but it would mean ripping up the kitchen again. so that would be my very last resort.

any advice is welcome. Thanks

it uses up to 6kw that about 26 amps so twice what a socket can handle
