Hotpoint Ultima WT960 fault

When the machine is unplugged then plugged back in, the LCD will illuminate as normal and read ON and beep continually.

The on/off button does not work, but the cancel button will stop the beeping.

Some buttons to the right work, but the machine does not operate correctly.

Common sense tells me its something electrical??

No fault codes.

Does it need a new circuit board of some kind?

Consol buttons pushed in just remove the lid and panel and refit.

Thanks.

Top board had condensation all over it from tumble dryer thats next to it! Dryer is now vented outside and washing machine board has been dryed and refitted.

And works again!

Great.

Check th cable tie round the neck of the dryer heater box that goes onto the seal make sure it's tight. Otherwise the heat will cause it to happen again.
