I have recently moved into a rental property and was not given the alarm code. On Friday a light bulb blew in my bedroom which set off the alarm. It was in the evening and I was unable to contact the landlady.

I undid the keypad panel and there were 6 coloured wires. I removed all of them which stopped the alarm sounding. Unfortunately I was a bit of an idiot and I never took a note of which wire went into which place. I now have the following colours: Red, Black, White, Blue, Green, Yellow and need to work ouit which of these belong on the following connections. Ov, 13V, COMMS, Sound, Tamper x 2.

Is there anyone whio can help please as I need to reattach them as I have the code now so can hopefully sort this out as currently the ourside light is flashing!

You'll need to open the control panel and match the cores.

Also, by your description, the system is in need of a service.

Thanks, So if I locate the conrol panel I will be able to see which colours go to which and match? Once I have done this will the light outside stop flashing?

yeah, once you've reconnected the rkp, you should be able to reset.

Disconnect the mains and battery before you start reconnecting, as theres a good chance you have or will short things and blow fuses.

Be careful around the mains

How did you know what part of the alarm panel to look at to compare colours?

Presumably they were labeled on the silkscreen.
