Hi All. I have just bought a 40 inch lcd and am going to position it above my fireplace. I am currently rennovating the house and having it re-plastered, and so thought it would be a good time to conceal the wires in the wall of the fireplace.

Does anyone know how I should go about doing this? Or even better, does anyone have any photographs? I haven't decided yet, but I will probably have Sky HD and a dvd, so I am sure this needs to be taken into account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm really working from scratch! Thanks, Chris.

Hi Chris, got your message.
Pop me an email and I'll try to attach photos of my install.

In the mean time, Based on your 2 products that you want to connect, I would advise channeling in some conduit/trunking into the brickwork with an SDS chisel bit & SDS+ drill set to hammer action only. If you aim to fit 2 HMI leads, mains & coax in the wall then this will cater for your TV, Sky HD & DVD (assuming both boxes output HDMI, otherwise substitute with a Scart lead, phono lead etc). Also check the TV's mains connection as most LCD TV's are hard wired, so you would need to fit a mains socket behond where you want to mount the TV (making sure that you have clearance behind the TV).
