how to remove water from a pipe

i need to replce a 15mm copper pipe piece and replce it with new peice, the peice come off a tee peice. problem is the is water in the pipe how does one remove this? i have a syphon typ thing rubbish one really. it has 2 small hoses and one manual pump. Is there no pump i can buy that will suck it out? or do you guys have any other opions i may try thanks

cut the pipe with a pipe slice and use plenty of towels, a bucket and a couple of tupperware containers to actually catch the water before it goes into the bucket.

oh, and a couple of 15mm speedfit end caps to reseal just in case.
 
Wickes wet/dry vacuum. Cost approx £30. Very good tool for unblocking sinks, baths, removing air locks, removing water from pipe work before soldering and clearing up a leak.
