Replace timer switch for underfloor heating Economy 7

Some lugs (?) have gone on the timer switch: as you turn it, only some of the time settings are effected.
The switch is in all electric house and switches ceiling heating on and off for a meter showing the two rates of Economy 7 (?)
Two cables go into the present timer switch (no name visible).
Can I replace it with something like the Horstmann Economy 7 switch?
Presumably the current passing through the actual switch is well under 13 amps.
Any help would be most welcome.
