how'd ya do that then? the boiler controls the temp using a potentiometer (fitted on the pcb) and a thermistor
 
Also, just had heating off for hour or so and hot water on, boiler saying temp satisfied but cylinder thermostat and hot water valve are open indicating it wants heating? Water from tap piping hot but cyl stat clicking off around 35-40 degrees and nowhere near the 60 ish set at, is this an indication of a fault you mentioned or a faulty stat?
So your hot water out of the tap is too hot?

Do you have one or two motorized valves?

2 motorised valves, one for CH and one for HW.

Replaced thermistor (£10) earlier and within an hour temp has risen dramatically. Rads and flow now getting v hot.

If PCB faulty/on way out would the improvement above have happened by replacing thermistor or would boiler just have carried on as before?

I will monitor situation, any ideas welcome.
