Distribute Sky, is a perfect picture possible?

Again, thanks for the advice.

I will be upgrading the cable myself, but I do have a couple of questions that I am hoping people will help me with:

- is the follow cable be of good enough quality: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/45490.../Coaxial-Cable/Co-Axial-Cable-PF100-White-25m
(really want to buy the cable locally and retail options are limited)

- does joining the cable weaken the signal? The cables from the aerial and dish are buried in the wall in the living room, so if possible I would prefer to join and replace the cable outside rather than destroy the wall in the living room.

- regarding cables and loft insulation. I will be running a length of cable (between 15-20m) into and along the loft area, which is insulated. Would laying the cable on top of insulation cause issues? Alternatively I could fix the cable to the rafters, but they are also insulated, which would be preferred?

that cable is fine, but if I were you I would buy a full reel. It is very easy to use up 25m and you dont want to be short. As regards joins as long as they are made properly ie using f connectors and barrels
(see here for how to fit them)

the loss of signal is negligible. Just run the cable on top of the loft insulation to where it is needed (my loft is criss crossed with coax, cat5 etc) !
