Can any of you explain why when I put my dishwasher through a cycle, when it has finished and I open the door, it is almost boiling steam that comes out. There doesn't seem to be a cold rinse at all! Is there anything that you have heard of which could be looked at which leads to this kind of thing? :?:

There is no cold rinse - the rinse is hot so that the residual heat can then dry out the plates - the hotter it gets , the drier the plates. It also gets used on some machines (whirlpool) as an antibacterial treatment.

Hope this helps!
