I currently have no alarm and have recently bought a nice car so worried about thieves breaking in to steal keys, I currently take them to bed with me but now think thats a bad idea. I just want a good reliable system that doesn't give false alarms apart from that I'm open to suggestions.

Then put your keys in there overnight.

not a bad a idea. I keep all my bunches of keys in a small keysafe, upstairs, except for the one I keep with me, which has just the front door, car, and keysafe key on it.

It is rather more solid than those little Helix things you buy in Woolworths.
