FLOW PIPE HOT RETURN PIPE COLD DOWNSTAIRS

HI
IM IN DESPERATE NEED OF SOME ADVICE PLEASE HELP
I HAVE RECENTLY HAD A NEW BOILER FITTED A KESTON C36 AND THE PLUMBER DIDNT DO A POWER FLUSH AND I WAS GETTING A PROBLEM WITH MY FLOW AND RETURN PIPES DOWNSTAIS.
SO ME AND MY FATHER IN LAW RENTED A POWER FLUSH AND DID IT OURSELFS AS WE R QUITE HANDY AND BOTH BUILDERS.
ALL THE RADS UPSTAIRS NOW ARE FINE AND RED HOT BUT DOWNSTAIRS THE FLOW PIPE IS HOT AND THE RETURN PIPE IS COLD BUT THE 1ST RAD DOWNSTAIRS IS HOT AND THE 2 AFTER THAT ARE COLD BUT THE FLOW PIPE UP TO THEM ARE HOT.
I CANT WORK OUT Y THE RETURN IS COLD IF THERE IS HEAT GOING THROUGH THE RAD

try shutting upstairs rads and leave downstairs open.

Balance the system but turn off caps lock before you do anything.

turn upstairs rads off, leaving 2 cold ones on downstairs.

look inboiler/ central heating FAQs at the top of the page items 1-5, especially number 5
