I'm looking to get a programmable RF room thermostat to connect to my Worcester Greenstar 30si combi boiler.

Being a patriotic chap, I'd like to get something UK made or from a UK company.

The Drayton Digistat+3RF (http://www.draytoncontrols.co.uk/Digistat2RFProgrammableRoomThermostatWireless.aspx) looks pretty good and is at the top end of my budget. Is it any good and will it work with my boiler?

Does anyone have any other recommendations that will work with my boiler?

But that's a German boiler!

Don't know where the Drayton stats are made, probably the Far East, but Drayton is owned by Invensys, a UK company.

Any RF stat can be use with your boiler Unfortunately Drayton's wireless stats do not have a good reputation; you would do better with the Honeywell CM921 (24hr) or CM927 (7day).

Fair point that they do own the Worcester... I guess in dog terms you could probably say the it's a cross between a British Bulldog and a German Shepherd!

Thanks for the advice. What makes the Drayton RF's so bad?. I've heard the (American) Honeywells are pretty good.

If you are concerned about the the source of your stat, then Horstmann Controls was established in 1854, and is situated South of Bristol. They do produce products in The UK, but as to whether all products are made here is anyone's guess.

They do a programmable RF room stat, but I have neither seen nor fitted one.

With stats, especially with RF stats, I would be more interested in sourcing something of reliability than making the country of origin my overriding concern.

Worcester Bosch have their own stat and boiler interface my old combi in my flat had one. Looks exactly the same as the one you can get for the ideal Logic +
