TEXTURED COATING ON EXTERIOR PLY ??

Hi Guys.........Can someone give me a name of an exterior textured (artex like) coating to be applied to exterior ply.
It is to repair one of those mock Tudor houses where they have black wall beams with ply panels in beteen (if you know what I mean).

It "wouldn't" be Cullamix.
Cullamix is a cement based product used in Tyrolean finish. It is sprayed onto a smooth cement rendered surface, using a tyrolean flicker machine.It is "not used" on a plywood surface.
The product you're after is kind of plastic (ish)based, and is applied with a roller.
I think you would be better posting this onto the Painting and Decorating forum. I have asked the mod's to move it .

I thought you could apply cullamix by hand Roughcaster? I'm sure it doesn't "have" to be machine applied. I'm not sure about suitability onto a plywood substrate - so I bow to your better judgement if you say no. The OP seems to think it's what he's after but thanks for warning

Cullamix is a trade name for a Tyrolean finish product. After a wall has been cement rendered, Cullamix is Flicked on with a "hand held" tyrolean machine. Definitely not for putting onto ply.

This is the spec from which I get the impression ply, properly treated would be suitable for a hand applied coating!!

'Cullamix Tyrolean is a white or coloured cement based mix, which provides a decorative and protective rendering. It is applied by hand or power operated machines and provides an open honeycomb textured (Tyrolean) finish

Suitable for internal or external use
Suitable for most environments - coastal, town suburban and rural
Suitable substrates: Externally weber.rend OCR;traditional cement rendering;fair faced concrete;exterior grade composition and cement boards;
This list is not exhaustive and other smooth, flat surfaces may be considered.
In addition, brickwork and blockwork may be coated where the joints will be accepted as a feature.
The substrate must show some suction to achieve the cullamix tyrolean texture'

You need to look for coatings used in the refurbishment of Park Homes

aka caravans

It``s a bit specialised and maybe people like OMAR who build them new and do coat ply with a high build tex. coating . Good luck
