Hi all, i need some advise/guidance on how to mix motor for pebble dash.
I have a 9 foot high by 9 foot wide wall that has been damaged with the frost, I am going to take the loose off to the measurements above and need to know what ratio sand to cement i use and what kind of sand i use. I know there is 2 coats to be done, the first being the scratch coat - what ratio do i mix to do this coat and secondly what ratio do i mix for the top coat which has the little pebbles in.

Many thanks for any advise Ian

You do need plastering sand!!!!!!!!!

then the in your final coat, you trow the stones at it, not to hard, not to soft, and they will stick,

its bloody hard work

make sure the cement goes off a bit, before you trow the stones at it, otherwize they just sack down

make sure you put fibers in the mix as well to prevent any cracks showing up after and i would paint it once it has all gone off as the paint holds the stones together allot better

I agree with the paint

I just but an airless to repaint my wall
