grade 3 door contact active even when the door is closed, the alarm panel is a texecom 88. the door contact is wired corectly to the panel and all jumpers are in the correct place. its programmed as entry/exit 1 guard attribute 1 auto reset attribute 2 double pole eol wiring. any ideas

grade 3 contacts HAVE to be fitted strictly to the manufactures instructions, they have anti tamper/magnetic interference attributes.

grade 2 will be fine (has your insurance company demanded grade 3?)

If your Insurance company has asked for an alarm and YOU are fitting it, no matter what grade of contact/equipment YOU fit it will be a Grade 1 ( DIY)
