noisy boiler/debris in water

My boiler (which I think is only 5/6 years old) is making lots of banging and clanging when the heating goes on. We're also getting lots of debris out of our tapes (kitchen and bathroom), which may or may not be related. Could anyone tell me what to do, or should I just get a plumber? I'm not sure if the water is safe to drink. The banging boiler may just need me to bleed my radiators.

Sorry for such a basic questions - I'm not great on DIY. Thanks for your help. Sarah
