DAMP PROOFING BREEZE BLOCKS

hi
I have a chalet which was built with breeze blocks almost 40 years ago, over the years it was treated with different damp proof paints ect, it works for a while but the dampness never goes away.
Any suggestions for a premanant solution.
Would dry lining be the answer !!

The very first thing to do is determine where the damp is coming from, is there a damp proof course and is it bridged somewhere for example.

yeah you can install a chemical dpc in breeze,but it doesnt half suck the fluid.

Speak to Soveriegn Chemicals about an exterior system you can use. I think it's called K 11 but they.ll know. It's not cheap but it's good stuff and as you have highlited 'pay cheap pay twice' . Dry lining is defenatley not the answear. Good luck

Damp proof paints are more likely to cause damp as they prevent the blocks drying out.
