Hi all,

We had a Remeha Avanta Plus (39c I think) boiler installed about 3 years ago.

It's been pretty well behaved but today out of the blue it started dripping warmish water from the bottom (the DHW outlet according to the manual).

Is this something I can fix myself by tightening something? There doesn't appear to be anything obvious to tighten?

Thanks,

Andy.T

It would usually be the nut above the elbow assembly that needs tightening.

Or the nut above the leak.
You should not need to apply a lot of force, about 20 Nm max.

Thanks both, gave both the nut above and behind a bit of a tighten. Hopefully that's got it. :)

If not, turn off the Cold inlet open a hot tap to release pressure undo the union and replace the fibre washer (10mins max!) ;)

Its very rarely the nut behind because they are totally accessible.

The nut above is more difficult unless you have a tap nut spanner and they are often too large to fit unless you do a lot of grinding on them.
