I want to install a downstairs wc. Would it be possible to connect to the existing ci stack that runs down outside wall?

would be a lot easier to repace with a new plastic stack. Or if the loo is not on an outside wall, a new drain.

A new branch connection to an existing stack near ground level may not comply with Building Regulations H1, which prohibits connections within 450mm of drain invert. The drain would need to be quite deep and/or the ground floor level well above external ground level.
