Hi, apologies if I have missed out some serious detal about my boiler but here goes...

I can hear the spark 'click' every second and this seems to go on for a few mins...its seems to take absoloutly ages for the boiler to 'fire up' somtimes longer! Is there anything i can do, like clean a jet or smthn or is this a kind of thing i should leave to a pro:?:

Could be debris on your burner stopping the gas from getting out and igniting as it should or a prob with ignition electrode.

When was it last serviced?

There is concern for these boilers where they are the fan flued variety as they are of positive pressure type so its important to make sure their combustion chamber casings seal properly. Check this . In which case it's definitely a corgi only job.

Look for a data plate. If it has the 'f' suffix its a fan flued job:-
