Went to a boiler today were a length of 5 core flex has been connected to the boiler but only 4 cores have been used eg Live , Neutral , S.Live & earth , there is 140 volts on the unused core , measured between the core & earth ? neither end is connected to any thing ? renewed the flex same thing ?? is there an obvious explanation ?? or ??
Voltage on 5 core cable ?
