Ferroli Falcon hot water running cold

ferroli falcon combi boiler

hot water is running out cold, heating is fine.

I am suspecting the flow switch but want to confirm it. How can I test it to prove, it has a connector with 3 wires.

dont know about the falcon but other ferroli combis i have fitted have flow sensors rather than just on/off switches.they measure the flow rate of the water so its not a case of just joining 2 wires together.if its not an exspensive part just change it.

thanks i have read it is a turbine - so will just replace it as you say. it contains a filter and cartridge too, so could be fiddly to replace with them being kept in place - they could keep dropping it as I tighten 1 compression nut! any ways to make this easier?

I'm pretty sure a Falcon is a Modena in disguise.
