Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a flooring query...

We had our solid wood floor fitted recently, but due to a big ordeal with the fitters, I have decided on fitting the remaining area myself (long story).

Anyway, the fitters used special glue "sausages", which are encased in foil. I have one of these which is enough to finish the small area, but what I don't have is an applicator i.e. specific type of glue gun.

I have an ordinary standard glue gun (for use with hard plastic tubes such as caulk and sealant).

Question is, is there a way I can use my ordinary gun, thus not having to fork out for a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help, it would be much appreciated :)

What brand are the sausages?

Walls.

Sorry   Thanks for your quick reply. I'm not sure, but will have a look when I get home and get back to you.

Thanks again :)

Edit to say... if you reeled off a few brands i'd probably recognise the name. Other than that, i'll get back to you.

Are those suitable for the silicone sausage adhesives?

Either way, i've just bought the one off eBay for £8 odd. Thought it was worth a try at that price.

Cheers folks.

If they're 600cc sausages you'll need a proper gun. You won't be able to use a cartridge gun.
