Hi,
I am about to install a new system consisting of a Honeywell Optima G4 with built in keypad, and an ADE Reson8 Bellbox.
I have a question regarding the bellbox anti-tamper circuit.
The instructions with the bellbox tell me that when I enable the onboard battery link the sounder will output a tamper alarm, but it does not explain how I cancel that alarm.
Is it by simply fitting the bellbox cover, or do I also have to enter the user code into the control panel?
If so, it would follow that I should not connect the bellbox battery until the rest of the system is fully wired.
All help appreciated

fit all devices,
connect (after testing that they are all ok) all devices
wire the end station / control panel
fit and wire the external siren, remember to connect the battery in the external siren.

power up the panel

enter you default code, program the system and test it.

simple really (but we do do this for a living,)

if you have any other quetions please ask.

Thanks oasis for your prompt reply, I am sure it is simple but I am afraid I am still struggling with the original question.
When I get to the stage where I connect the battery in the bellbox this will trigger a tamper and the sounder will activate as I understand it from the makers instruction leaflet.
So, how do I silence the sounder?
Will fitting the cover do it or does it have to be done from the Control panel?

Pete

when you are ready to connect the final power to the system,

get up on your ladder connect the battery (ensure that you have all connections correct)

yes the siren will sound, this is supposed to happen!

go to your panel power it up then enter your default code, and it will silence the sounder

or you can do it the way we do.

hang you panel, connect the mains, (leave fuse out)
wire and connect the keypad
wire and FULLY connect the external siren,
power the panel
enter default code 9bells quiet

continue to wire each detection device to the panel

that should work (it does for us)
