The above alarm has been installed in our house for over 15 years. We no longer use it as buttons were not working well.
Today I foolishly tried to remove cover of box to paint and now tamper light flashing and loud drone sounding.

I cannot remember code, have tried swithching off at fuse box but when swithched on again, drone restarts.

I can see nowhere to remove a battery or disable alarm. Any suggestions would be really welcome. (I have no electrical expertise)

Yeah, right.
Head bod (mod, wotever) isnt even an alarm engineer. well does fire. Close enough I assume.

The cover I think was the keypad cover, a battery will be in the main control unit.
