WE've just moved nito a house and it has teh above mentioned boiler which was serviced before we bought the house.

the problem is that when you run hot water into the bath you can run the tap at full as the boiler cant keep up so it takes 15 minutes to run a bath. i can only turn the tap say 15 dergrees before you start to loose warm water.

Down stairs is fine. Any ideas Cheers

it's only a 24 kilowatt boiler so may be struggling with the volume of water you are trying to heat. you need to measure the flow from the bath tap and the temperature of the water coming out. this boiler will probably only realistically give you approx 30 degree temp rise at 10 litres a minute. I can check the actual figures if you need them.

Basically what nick said.

Its a small combi, 24kw isnt enough to run a bathtap flat out and still heat the water sufficiently.

thanks for the quick answers guys much aprreciated, can beleieve they didnt get a bigger one when it was put in. it is coming up 10 years old though now. whats sort of KW would be best

24kw combis are cheaper and BG salesman tend to gloss over the fact they arent V good!

Ideally go for a minimum 28kw combi, you could go bigger if your flow rate is good.
