Hi everyone, I have just finished a small install, 1 PIR and 1 door contact, panel is a texecom veritas 8C
only thing is, I'm not currently running it on mains power, only backup battery but I'm connecting to mains hopefully tomorrow.
The 24HR light will not turn off!
I have checked all wiring to the panel and all seems OK,
can anyone help me?

(update)
I have just tested the system with a 9v battery, who would have thought it, 24hr light goes off!
must be battery at fault!

1, power it up.
2, 9volt battery, wrong. It needs a 12volt.

Install it as it was meant to, it might work correctly then.

You don't mention an outside sounder of any sort, have you fitted one?

If not, have you fitted a link of wire between D & C to complete the missing Tamper Return from the missing sounder?

Leaving that out will give you the problem that you are experiencing.

PS You DO have a tamper circuit connected to T & R, don't you?
If not, another lid link is required.

And you are closing the control panel lid, that also has a tamper switch?

yes that's it!
i have an internal sounder and an external strobe( the kind on old bellboxes) wired to the bell and strobe terminals but forgot to put a link wire in the tamper as it's not used!

thanks so much! ill post in a min with results

Hi everyone, I just found out that I forgot to link out the RKP tamper, the bell tamper and the global tamper!
thanks again!

WOW, I'm WRONG

I did not mean link out T & R (they are part of the RKP wiring, Data circuit), I meant the TAMP connections on the far right hand side

Yea, I knew that, but linking out the RKP tamper return has probably helped
anyways, while on the subject, where are the PA and fire terminals?

where are the fire and PA terminals anyone?
or do you have to program zones as fire, entry, inhibit,pa etc?
