many thanks for your help but cannot enter user code as keypad not working should i dis connect internal bell before opening main box with my mains electric turned off or will main alarm still go off when i open main box to get to fuses

you will cause a local alarm only when removing the cover, (if in day mode) Removing the mains and battery will cause the external bell to sound for the bell time, 15 minutes max (20 for old times)
Dont bother disconnecting sounders, keep it simple, put up with it sounding until you have found and tested the fuse, dont rush, take your time.
You'll will require a 1A 20mm quick blow fuse, but as has been said, find out why the fuse blew in the first place.
