hi
Just wanting to know what the recommended way forward is for insulating our roof - already an attic room, large 1900 semi.
Currently stripped back, no felting, 50% torching intact (have removed what is loose)
Plan 50mm insulation between rafters allowing 25mm air gap and 40mm underneath (taped), then double boarded
1) Do I need to bother to repair the missing torching? if so, what mix considering that we may have the whole roof relaid in the future and want to retain the tiles
2) If nothing is leaking do I just continue insulating and ignore the missing torching?
Thanks
Andy
