Just heat stripped my galvanised garage door as it was peeling. I now need to prime it before adding a final colour. To prevent a reaccurence of the peeling, what type of primer should I use?

Thanks

They are called 'etching primers'.

Take a look at your door and see if has a sort of shimmering effect if so it will indicate that the door has been etched, if this is the case prime it with a Zinc Phosphate Primer.

Whatever happened to calcium plumbate primer, always used this for galvanized metal years ago, haven't seen it on sale for a long time now.

Yep! , Calcium Plumbate primer or Mordant Mixture, both for galvanising, prior to undercoating.
