Hi guys,just wondering whether any of you have come accross this,the wife purchased a set of kitchen taps from off the net,appear good quality,i fitted them ,no problem,run the water,test pipework ect,ok.I later poured a drink,o my word i thought i,d been poisoned it tasted that bad.4 days later it still tastes off.The taps come with braided hoses.

Aspon monoblock vertical kitchen mixer fd1335f.The first time it tasted of machine oil,which i took as from the production process,now tastes of rubber ,not that you would drink it,getting water to drink from other tap.

Usually dodgy 'rubber' compounds in the hoses or washers. Taps and hoses should be WRAS approved and listed as such, if not they're not fit for purpose. If they taint the water, they're not fit for purpose. I'd want my money back.
