Non-standard waste pipe
Reply with quote Thanks

For my sins, got a frosted glass bowl sink from Focus DIY store a while back. Now that I'm trying to install it, I find the supplied chrome waste pipe has an external diameter of 32mm, but standard 32mm fittings from B&Q, Plumb Center etc are too big - a standard 32mm waste pipe appears to have external diameter of about 34mm. Unsuccessfully tried to get a reducer piece which would take the supplied chrome pipe up to standard 32mm fittings. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Alan

That's a compression fitting if you don't recognise it. You keep doing the nuts up until it's tight. Shouldn't be a problem with 32mm tho there are "Universal" connectors if not ok.
