Is it safe to have ceilings and walls skimmed with baby?

hi ya,

very nice man doing the work, please tell me it's not hazardous? we are out during work but home to hoover and obviously during drying time - please advise...the smell is just damp right not chemicals?

no it's not hazardous. There have been reports of irritation to mucus membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract upon acute exposure to dusts in excess of the recommended limits. Chronic exposure to crystalline silica (a naturally occurring contaminant in gypsum) in the respirable size has been shown to cause silicosis.

long as the finish is as smooth as a baby`s bottom - and not over trowelled/polished so you can see the cot reflected in it ;)
