I am in the process of fitting a power shower, I am using wall plates for the 2 shower attachments, can anyone tell me if I can get an extention to fit into these wall plates to bring the thread closer to the surface?
If so what are they called?
Thankyou in advance

I have chased out walls for the valve and pipes, the handheld shower rose fitting that screws into one of the wall plates does not have a very long thread so need an extention to get the wall plate thread closer to the surface as there is 12mm tile going over it.
Just typing this out i realise that I can bring them closer to the surface by using longer screws and putting wood behind them as a spacer.
Would be good to know though if a extention did exist in case my idea doesn't work

You can use a 15mm x 1/2" female coupler.
just take the nut off and screw that in the wall plate.

Or alternatively, set the wall bracked the correct depth in the wall to begin with, then you won't need to extend it later...

Some merchants keep 1/2" MxF brass tap extensions. Same principal as Seco's suggestion.....without the waste.
