We changed our sheets this morning and a large crack (about 18 inches in length) has appeared in our memory foam mattress.

It doesn't go all the way through - the mattress itself is 12 inches in depth and the crack is probably 6-9 inches.

Can anyone give me an idea of:-

(a) What has caused it?
(b) Any temporary/permanent remedy to fix it?

Mattress is just gone 2 years old.

Hope this is an ok query for this forum - I couldn't think of anywhere else (either this site or other sites) to post really.

Lol, some of the replies are hilarious!

Seriously though, what could have caused that?

The mattress is only 2 years old and cost £1,700 so it shouldn't be "cracking up" after only 2 years?!

Seems you paid too much for a trampoline to be used to absorb certian juices that leak during the process called "humping".

Bet you have the hump with the suppliers now!
