thermostatic mixer shower

i am going to install a thermostatic mixer shower where the bath used to be, i have a gravity system, i have read previous posts but just want to check that i understood it right.
i can use the existing hot water supply to the bath to feed the new mixer shower but i must run a cold feed from the tank in the loft?? the tank in the loft will be 1400 mmm above the new shower head but hot water supply will be at best level with the new shower head , will that be ok or do i need to pump both hot/cold supply??

Where is the cold water that is then heated coming from?
The same tank as you are planning to use for the cold feed?

The hw cylinder is supplied by the same cws as your cold supply
so they will have equal pressures.
Don't matter where the cylinder is it's the height of he cws that matters.

yes the hot water tank is supplied from the tank in the loft, is it really that simple to connect up? i am a relatively competent diy er

Personally i never fit a shower on pipework supplying other appliances ie
bath/sink/basin appliances.
and second 9/10 gravity fed showers need a pump to boost the pressure/flow or they can give poor results.
