Connect the LIVE (Brown or Red) from the mains into the terminal marked common

Connect the Brown or Red (that goes to the lamp) into the terminal marked L2

Sometimes the common is marked as L1. In this case

Connect the LIVE (Brown or Red) from the mains into the terminal marked L1

Connect the Brown or Red (that goes to the lamp) into the terminal marked L3

Please make sure you switch off before working on electrics.

If thats the case the switches you've bought are totally unsuitable. They are designed for fixed wiring, and to be fixed to a box buried in or on the surface a wall.
Indeed. The MK switches have no facility to clamp the cables. This means that it is possible for the live end to be pulled out of the switch  With possible fatal consequences.
You won't know about it as you'll be groping around in the dark to turn the light on.

frankytee, you are going to secure the switches and the cables right?

If not, then as others have rightly said, the switches are completely inappropriate and would prove to be dangerous
