BBC Channels query

In my bedroom have tv with freeveiw box , couldnt get bbc programs on the screen it said bad / non exsistant ariel signal which seemed strange as other channels ok .
So i did a reset of all programs as in when you first install tv and success bbc channels back to working , but...... not for long changed channels to veiw other stations but when put back to bbc same problem ??? i dont wont to reset every time i change channels , so has anyone come across this or have any remedies please , thanks mark

Hi, it sounds like you've managed to tune the channels in ok but not stored them in memory. More than likely there will be a certain button to press before exiting any menu or changing channel, it's not going to be easy to tell you what to press as they all work differently. You did have the right idea though, retune it and then read the menu screen carefully, chances are that you need to press something like select to store but you've pressed menu Instead.

Worth checking this, as on my humax box I have to 'select all' then save, to save the channel list.
 
Is it true that signal strength is being reduced to prepare us for the digital switchover?

the signal has been week for years[since transmision started i believe] to stop interference with anallouge tv and will be boosted when they are turned off
